The chef serving us tonight was rude and had an attitude. He served 2 young ladies before us, who he was very chatty with all of the selections of meat, which he gave them good-sized portions. However, he gave me 2 very thin slices, and when I asked for a bit more, he cut a slice and virtually threw it on my plate, which was observed by others in the queue. He then proceeded to shout across the restaurant to his mates that came in. All in all, he was very unprofessional. The waiting staff, however, were very happy, helpful, and pleasant. The restaurant is very clean and tidy.

We had a friendly server at our table however the food and carvery area was sub standard. The beef was awful - full of fat in the middle of the slices and we couldn't get a knife through non fatty parts - we had to leave a pile of inedible beef on a napkin. The carvery area was messy - yorkshire puddings strewn everywhere, a messy veg area & dirty napkins on the floor in front of the serving area - it all just felt like no one was bothered. A few checks would have rectified this as well as buying a better quality of meat. Won't be returning to the Wilsons anytime soon. It may be a bit cheaper than other places but what's the point if the main part of the roast is inedible.

Disappointing choice of beers - unless generic lagers and ciders are your favourite. No ales of note unless Doom bar is counted.

Can't beat a Sunday carvery and judging by the numbers in, a lot of people agree! Definitely book ahead. Good choice of meats, excellent and plentiful sides and all at a decent price means you can't go wrong. Desserts are good too, if you've got any room left! Staff were very good, attentive and helpful.

Lovely carvery and nice relaxed atmosphere. It wasn't busy when we visited so we're eating 5 minutes after arrival. Free parking but remember to register your car when you go in.

Entered to empty enterence after waiting for a few minutes the manager told us to go to the bar to order but there was nobody at the bar so he came over to take our order. Wasn't waiting long.
Once we went up to the food counter there wasn't much of the breakfast yorkshire puddings were nearly gone as was the potatoes. The bacon had completly run out. The food we did have was very cold didn't even have to cool the hash brown and Yorkshire pudding for my toddler as was cold enough to eat. Beans were also cold but watery.
Complained to manager and got refund and he was very apologetic and refunded straight away.

Disappointing Breakfast Experience
I recently visited this breakfast buffet and was disappointed by the lack of customization. There was no option to order food the way I prefer, and something as simple as hard-cooked eggs wasn’t available. A good breakfast should cater to different preferences, and unfortunately, this place fell short. I'm part of a group who meet once a month for breakfast and were disappointed beefeater had closed so we're looking for a replacement. I'm so disappointed that I won’t be returning here as it's so convenient. My friends would like some flexibility I'm sure.
